Alissa Callen: Her Big Sky Cowboy Wildflower Ranch #3

Rt focus and a natural feel Another easy read from the Wildflower Ranch series A gifted copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for an honest reviewFor Reviews Free E books and Giveaways Fantastic read Zane Nash has been ealt a tough life Abandoned by his mother an abusive father and a girlfriend that ran off with his brother So he s given up on life off his ranch except when it comes to his son Finn For him he ll o anything After Finn lost his mother he stopped talking To help him Zane recruits local speech therapist Trinity Redfern to help him Turns out she can help Zane too This is a wonderfully written story that left me with a huge smile on my face I highly recommend this one I liked this one haven t read the others in this series but would probably read them I loved Trinity what a great character and nicely eveloped by the author Zane as well although his rough edges needed a serious filing and there were times I wanted to smack him however his way with Finn made me cut him some slack Good plot line although the bit of Foxs Feud (Farthing Wood, drama in the backstory of Zane and as it explains sort of his behavior meh I could have lived without parts of that Or maybe it was just the placement in the story Nonetheless I loved Trinity and Finn and that makes the book worth reading Note This ARC was provided by Tule Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest reviewHer Big Sky Cowboy by Alissa Callen is the third book in the Wildflower Ranch series and is my favorite among the three titles so far It s about a speech therapist looking for Mr Right but can t seem to shift her attention away from a gray eyed cowboy who never says much Will they both risks their hearts on something they re both afraid will leave them broken if itoesn t work outTrinity Redfern is living her life on her own terms and likes being in control She may not meet her parents expectations but she s essentially happy with her job as a speech therapist and running a camp for children She s particularly close to one five year old named Finn but keeps her The Culture Code distance from his uncle She may be attracted to him but she s uite certain that he s all wrong for heror is heZane Nash isn t just uiet he s somewhat of a recluse who prefers expressing himself with gestures grunts or one word responses to uestions He becomes the guardian to Finn and notices that the formerly silent boy has been speaking now all thanks to the woman he s grown attached to Zane has been burned once before and is than wary trusting another womanbut is she worth itTrinity whom readers of the series will remember from the two previous installments and Zane seem like opposites but they seem perfect for each other even though they appear to be the only ones not aware of it They provide Finn a sense of stability and they re also able to bring out the best in one another As they spend time together over the summer they re finding itifficult to avoid their attractionThis book had rama than the first two books and it actually got me teary eyed at one point There are a few surprises some of which I was able to figure out but I still liked the way the secrets came to light for the characters Overall Her Big Sky Cowboy shows that what we think may be right for us isn t always so and that entrusting your heart to someone may be risky but oh so rewarding This gets 45 stars rounded off to five stars for Goodreads. Hen the summer ends has time run out not only for Finn but also for Zane Can the reserved cowboy find the words to make strong willed Trinity stay forever Wildflower Ranch series Book 1 Cherish Me Cowboy Book 2 Her Mistletoe Cowboy Book 3 Her Big Sky Cowb.

I received this book as an e ARC free from Netgalley Below is my reviewZane Nash and yes love the name has issues No really you think you have issues Zane s will top them I promise His mother s abandonment his horrid father his faithless girlfriend and his back stabbing view spoilerand baby stealing hide spoiler I was just kind of bored Nothing really stuck out to me I received a free copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review Speech therapist Trinity Redfern knows her perfect match is out there somewhere And when she finds him he ll be articulate well Stolen Magic (Stardust, dressed and most of all he will let her call the shotsReclusive rancher Zane Nash has heeded life s lessons Never trust anyone especially a woman But when he becomes an instant father to five year old Finn he must trust the sassy speech therapist who takes over his ranch for the summer Trinity is Finn s last hope to learn to speak againBut when the summer ends has time run out not only for Finn but also for Zane Can the reserved cowboy find the words to make strong willed Trinity stayforeverI first read Alissa Callen with her novel Beneath Outback Skies a very good Australian Rural Romance novel Since then I have read two of her novellas and I am not uite as taken with them It s not that they are bad they are pretty well written in fact but it is that they just seem to lack two things that I loved about her novel character and plotevelopmentIn this story Trinity Redfern is a speech therapist who helps young Finn The Billionaire Daddy during the summer Finn hasn t spoken very much and Trinity has a soft spot for the kid and vows to help him before Finn starts school And then there is Zane the handsome but uiet rancher who is Finn s guardian who falls heavily for Trinity even though he has tried to keep women at arms length after having his heart broken beforeAll that is great good story some interesting characters and a very nice setting However there are some issues that broughtown my ratingThere were a lot of repetitive internal Pistols for Two dialogue between Trinity and Zane and a lot of not looking at each other Zane spent a lot of the time trying to convince himself or the reader that he shouldn t get involved with a woman And nothing actually happens noramatic moments no brave hero of the Stronger day action scenejust life on the ranch that slowlyevelops into a romance storyAs I said at the start I Loss (Gus Dury, did like Alissa s novel and I hope she goes back to it often That is where she really excelsPaulARH I really liked this story I liked the love that grew between Zane and Trinity He was a rancher and she was a Speech Therapist that was helping who Zane thought was his nephew but turned out to be his son Finn Also in the midst of everything Zane seceased father had told Zane that his mother had The Last Rite (Danilov Quintet, died when Zane was about eight only to find out he lied to the poor kid and his mother was very much alive I was glad the father was already Alacrity (Illumine, dead when this book started it saved me from wishing he wereeadThe thing I enjoyed a lot in this book was the esire Zane and Trinity felt for each other throughout the book NOT lust but esire There was no mention of breasts or erections or anything like that It was how their feelings were Love You To Death (Detective Ruby Preston, described after they had kissed time and again It was very nice actually So if you re looking for sex look elsewhere They got into his bedroll kissed and then it was the next. Sometimes Mr Wrong is Mr Right Speech therapist Trinity Redfern knows her perfect match is out there somewhere And when she finds him he’ll be articulate wellressed and most of all he will let her call the shots Reclusive rancher Zane Nash has heeded.

Day No sex and no swearing Rated G This book has everything I want in a story It has cowboys a little boy and romance But that s not all It is written beautifully so that you are pulled into the story wanting the best for everyone Zane Nash runs a successful ranch but his personal life is not very good Aft This was a surprisingly horrid Netgalley ARC The material for the plot of Big Sky Cowboy was rather cookie cutter girl speech therapist meets boy rancher with 5 year old son that hasn t spoken much since mother Arnhem died girl and boy try to hide their feelings girl and boy realize they re in love with each other after 3 4 weeks of seemingly meaningless interaction girl boy and child ride off into the sunset I misappointed by uite a number of problems in the book First the two main characters rarely actually spoke to each other in the book There were a lot of interesting conversations that took place however none of them were audible Trinity and Zane were so intimidated by each other that they kept all their thoughts in their head 0o Secondly there was NO DRAMA whatsoever Most romances are predictable in that there is at least one climatic heated argument before the characters inevitably kiss and make up Trinity and Zane were some of the most boring non talking introverted and undramatic love interests ever Before you say but that s so sweet remember that they barely talked So we have a book in which there s little talking and little actionwhat could the author possibly have used as filler Well there were horses puppies and a weird love triangle in which Zane s former lover ran off with his brother while she was pregnant with Zane s baby And Zane thinking his mother abandoned him when reality she was the victim of abuse and post partum Fitness for Living depression soshe moved to Australia Most importantly this was a romance novel with no romance Zane and Trinity might as well have been asexual because there was no passion or sparks that made me relate to their budding romance Also not ONE sex scene Not a one I love a well written sex scene whether sweet and sappy orownright raunchy Alissa Callen gave me neither I Love Is Blind don t think the characters even kissed until half way through the book and then the sex scene was just glossed over Ugh bored me to tearsThere was no ebb and flow nor proper characterevelopment The plot had all the pieces to be interesting but the writing itself fell flat Hopefully the author oes some major reworking of the book to make it enjoyable I pass on this book if it s not free 35 All About the Trust Factor Stars 12 Spoiler Free Right Now FREEWhen we are little we first learn about trusting something will be there for us in many The World in the Curl different ways it could be the first time we reach out to a hard surface and try to pull ourselves up to stand or as we try to learn how to walk We try to gauge if we have the right measurement and feel the next place to put our hands holding bit by bitAnd as children we transfer the need to know things are there to support us to people mothers fathers and then eventually those we give our hearts to We trust we believe they will always be thereand when they aren twhen they turn away or lie or betrayinsurmountableamage is Connexity doneThis is a story that examines this betrayal of trust and whether a manisappointed by all the women in his life can overcome this hurt and open his heart It was a story with hea. Life’s lessons Never trust anyone especially a woman But when he becomes an instant father to five year old Finn he must trust the sassy speech therapist who takes over his ranch for the summer Trinity is Finn’s last hope to learn to speak again But
